Hyundai Motor Company has released official photos of the all-electric “IONIQ 6” model exclusive to the IONIQ brand. The highly anticipated IONIQ 6, the second model of the IONIQ brand, zamits abrupt design stands out as a remarkable privilege. The IONIQ 6, which Hyundai describes as the “Electrified Streamliner”, is aerodynamically shaped and innovatively designed for today's electric car customers to enjoy their vehicle more and create an emotional connection.

Based on the Prophecy EV Concept model introduced by Hyundai last year, the IONIQ 6 is characteristically presented with a completely smooth and clean design philosophy. This design philosophy, which Hyundai designers describe as Emotional Efficiency, is associated with a cocoon-like interior design. It also highlights Hyundai's energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, while creating a silhouette for the new era of electric mobility.

IONIQ 6 has a unique design language designed with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind. The Hyundai Look design strategy was applied in the design, which was prepared with a unique look like chess pieces. By adopting a customer-oriented approach, Hyundai has achieved distinctive drawings by considering different lifestyles instead of a traditional design that fits all. In addition to its aesthetic appearance, it also offers a new typology for the EV mobility era, aerodynamically with a drag coefficient of 0.21cd.

The IONIQ 6 supports the low nose structure with active air wings and wheel arches at the front. This 0,21 ultra-low friction coefficient achieved in the design, which is continued with the digital mirrors that we come across as thin, is the same. zamAt the same time, it means the lowest value among the models produced by the brand in-house. To further contribute to the enviable aerodynamic capability of the IONIQ 6, an elliptical spoiler with blades has been used. With its tail-like structure in speedboats, the vertically positioned ventilation channels on both sides of the rear bumper create a unity and increase the downforce.

This aerodynamics continues under the vehicle as well as on the body. The undercarriage is fully covered, giving place to more optimized deflectors and reduced wheel clearance. In this way, the air is thrown from the bottom and top of the vehicle with the least amount of friction, contributing to both performance and consumption.

IONIQ 6 also uses more than 700 Parametric Pixels in various places such as front and rear lights, front lower sensors, air vents and center console indicators to reinforce its brand identity. The Parametric Pixel High Mounted Stop Lamp (HMSL) of the rear wing offers an eye-catching light feast when the brakes are pressed. To further emphasize the uniqueness of the IONIQ 6, a newly designed Hyundai 'H' emblem is featured.

Prepared with Hyundai Motor Group's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), IONIQ 6 allows various expansions for optimized legroom and spaciousness for passengers to travel more comfortably. The platform also allows for a completely flat floor, offering more seating. The user-oriented interior is equipped with a centrally located control unit to reduce distractions and ensure safe driving. This modular display, combined with the 12-inch full-touch infotainment screen, completely envelops the cockpit. Bi-colour ambient lighting also elevates the ambiance of the IONIQ 6's interior. Including 64 color themes specially developed for users to feel comfortable, Hyundai also helps to provide easy communication between the driver and the vehicle with 4-point interactive pixel lights on the steering wheel.

The production of IONIQ 6 in accordance with the ethical uniqueness theme actually contributes to today's environmentally friendly social responsibility projects. Using more than one bio-material from end-of-life tires to plastic coatings, engineers have taken care of the environment by using recycled plastics for sustainability on the body and paint as well as in the interior, such as leather seats, instrument panel, doors and armrests.

Details on the technical information and technology of IONIQ 6 will be announced at its world launch in July.
