Organized for the second time this year in cooperation with Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and Ordu Motorcycle Club, Ordu Motorcycle Festival (MOTOFEST) brought together motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country.
Various events were held at the festival, which was held at the Durgun Water Sports Center and Campground and brought together hundreds of motorbike lovers in Ordu. The festival, which started on Friday, June 24 by setting up tents and overnight at the Gülyalı Durgun Water Sports Center and Camping Area, ended after the city tour, Birkan Polat Motoshow, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra concert, Dj Ozzy concert and various programs between 25-26 June. .
Turkey's Motorcycle Acrobatics Champion Birkan Polat had breathtaking performances at the festival, and motorcycle enthusiasts had unforgettable moments. Bringing adrenaline enthusiasts together, the festival got full marks from the participants.
“THIS FACILITY IS A WORK THAT WAS GIVEN TO ALL OF TURKEY, NOT JUST THE ARMY”
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Adem Atik said that the Still Water Sports and Camping Area is a work that has been brought not only to Ordu but also to the whole of Turkey.
Deputy Chairman Atik continued his words as follows:
“We broke new ground in Turkey by turning it into a Static Water Sports Center, which includes a canoe park, sailing park, motor park, car park, and caravan park, based on the idea of how our Minister Mehmet Hilmi Güler could evaluate this beautiful area next to the airport during the Metropolitan Mayorship process. This place, with all its design and design, has been a very good work with the effort and support of our Minister. A work that belongs not only to Ordu but also to the whole of Turkey was brought. This year we are holding the second MOTOFEST here. There was a high demand last year. Nearly 44 clubs and nearly 1500 motorists came together in Ordu. City tour done. Everyone here is in a very good mingling environment. We are happy to hold the second festival after the pandemic. On behalf of all the participants, we would like to thank our Minister for bringing such a facility to our province and our country.”

Ordu Motorcycle Club President Mehmet Ataç also expressed his pleasure in promoting the city and hosting people in such an area and said, “Our aim is to ensure that our city is recognized and promoted in a social and cultural sense. All visitors said that they had never seen such an area, such a platform before. It is a very enjoyable space that can be used by everyone and where such activities can be held. It is noteworthy that even the toilets have air conditioning. We are extremely happy to be in such an area, to promote our city and to host these people here. “I HAVE NEVER SEEN A FACILITY LIKE THIS ANYWHERE IN TURKEY”
Turkey Motorcycle Acrobatics Champion Birkan Polat, who came to Ordu within the scope of the festival and breathtaking with his performances, pointed out that he had never seen such a facility anywhere in Turkey, and said, “I would like to thank Ordu Metropolitan Municipality for inviting me here. I found the organization perfect, everything is very nice. The area is beautiful. I have not seen such a facility anywhere in Turkey, including a camping area in a seafront area. Everything is wonderful. I had visited Boztepe while using this route before. I also had the opportunity to use the cable car. It's also a very nice ambiance. I invite everyone to come and see. I would also like to thank our President for this facility and organization.”
“ORDU IS AN EXAMPLE CITY IN EVERY WAY”
Motor enthusiasts, who were in Ordu for 3 days as part of the festival, expressed that they liked the facility and the organization very much, and said, “This is a very beautiful facility where there are no shortcomings. It's a clean area. Even if a garbage falls on the floor, they immediately pick it up. Everything is very orderly. Such organizations are an excuse in the motorcycle community, friendships are strengthened and we make new friends. Ordu is already an exemplary city in every sense. We would like to thank our President for both this facility and the organization.”
