The test drives, which is the penultimate stage of the "Car of the Year 7 in Turkey" competition, organized for the 2022th time without interruption by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD), were carried out.
OGD members came together in Istanbul Park for the test drive they will take before the second voting in June. Members tested the 7 finalist cars “Citroen C4, Honda Civic, Hyundai Tucson, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Nissan Qashqai, Opel Mokka and Renault Taliant. In the test drive event, the handling, ergonomics, fuel consumption, emission rates, safety, equipment level and price-performance features of the cars were evaluated.
After the test drive, the winner with the most points as a result of the final voting will be announced at the award ceremony to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
In the "Car of the Year 2022 in Turkey" competition, sponsored by Bridgestone, Intercity, Shell Helix Engine Oils, Bosch, ALJ Finans and TÜVTÜRK, awards will also be given in the categories of "Design of the Year", "Press Launch of the Year" and "Innovative Project of the Year".
