Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank opened iftar with the workers at the facilities of the born electric Togg in Gemlik. Underlining that Togg, whose intellectual and industrial property rights belong entirely to Turkey, is a project that will take Turkey through the ages, Minister Varank said, “Turkey's Car is a flare. It is a project that will change our industry and transform our suppliers.” said.
THE PRESIDENT HAS WORKED
The countdown continues at Togg, which was launched by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on December 27, 2019, and the construction of its factory started on July 18, 2020. Minister Varank made examinations at the facilities of Togg, which is planned to be put on sale in the first quarter of 2023, in Gemlik.
IFTAR WITH CARAVAN
After the examinations, Varank, who stood in line with the workers, took food from the trailer. Varank had iftar with 520 factory and construction workers. Togg's iftar menu included ezogelin soup, forest kebab, bulgur pilaf, salad and gullaç.

ROBOTS ASSEMBLED OK
The reason we came to Gemlik was to have iftar with our fellow workers. While we were in Gemlik, we had the opportunity to examine Togg's factory together with the company's board of directors, our deputies, our mayor, our provincial president, and our governor. We looked at how the work and processes in the factory were going, and we also got information about the robots whose assembly was completed.
IT WILL WALK INTO TURKEY
Turkey's Automobile Project is a project that will bring Turkey through an era and catch up with the transformation in the automotive industry. Togg is making great efforts to capture the transformation in the industry. While the construction of the factory continues, the assembly lines are connected. They work on a tight schedule.
CONTINUES AS PLANNED
Their goal is to get the first mass production vehicles, Turkey's Automobile, off the mass production line on October 29 this year. All activities continue as planned. Each and every one of our brothers and sisters who work in this factory is valuable to us. The latest technologies are used in the construction and production processes of the factory. 208 robots will be used on the assembly line. Europe's cleanest paint shop is being established in Gemlik. Turkey's Car Project continues as planned to make us proud.
VISION PROJECT OF OUR PRESIDENT
Before I came here, I made a call on Twitter. I invited our two student brothers who are studying at university in Bursa. They came too. We toured the factory together. Turkey's Car Project is actually a vision project of our President. It was very important for our President to have a brand of his own in Turkey and to have an intermediary whose intellectual property rights were in Turkey. Since 2018, we have been working on this project in the best way by receiving the flag from our previous minister friend.
BLOODY LIFE COME TO LIFE
Of course, this project started from papers and plans. It is personally proud for us to go to such a factory from those plans, to allocate such a land in Gemlik to this project, to build this factory on top of it and to set up production lines. It makes one happy to see that a job that one has worked hard for from the beginning comes to life in such a bloody way.

Recently, we have better grasped the importance that our President attaches to Turkey's own brand. Countries that have been producing automobiles for 100 years are asking 'How will we catch this change and transformation?' They are fighting a big fight. There is great confusion in the industry. Technologies developed by start-ups are triggering a major transformation in the automobile industry. Traditional companies do not know how to fight here and how to occupy a place in the market.

By creating our own brand, we have achieved the right momentum in the industry. Turkey is a big country in the automotive industry. We currently have the capacity to produce 2 million vehicles. We need to transform this industry as we transition to electric, autonomous, new generation vehicles. Turkey's Car, a flare. A project that will change our industry and transform our suppliers.
A GREAT JOB FOR THE INDUSTRY
Currently, our companies, which manufacture for the main industry all over Turkey, are experiencing a shift towards electric vehicles. All of them make an effort to keep up with the transformation in order to be able to produce a part of Togg, to take part in it. We are building a factory here, we are realizing a vision project, but we are accomplishing a great job for Turkey's industry. This makes us all proud.
2030 DIFFERENT MODELS UP TO 5
Togg emerged with the aim of creating a globally competitive automobile brand in which Turkey owns the intellectual and industrial property rights. Togg, which will be on the roads of the world with 2030 different models in various segments until 5, will be produced in a facility established on an area of 1.2 million square meters in Gemlik. Turkey's Automobile will have a 51 percent domestic rate in the first place.
SALE AFTER HOMOLOGATION
After the start of mass production, homologation tests will be started to determine the compliance of the car with the legal regulations. Following the tests, Togg is scheduled to go on sale in the first quarter of 2023.
