According to the data of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the exports of the Turkish automotive industry in March decreased by approximately 7 percent to 2,7 billion dollars. OIB Chairman of the Board of Directors Baran Çelik: “While the problems caused by the chip crisis continue in the first quarter of this year, on the other hand, there is a loss of 500 million dollars in exports due to Euro / Dollar parity in automotive. Parallel to this, in the first three months of the year, our automotive industry exports decreased by approximately 3 percent to 7,5 billion dollars. Our average monthly automotive exports in the first three months is 2,5 billion dollars.”

OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Çelik, in his assessment of the first quarter figures, said, “There is a 500 million dollar export loss in the automotive sector in the first quarter of this year, due to the Euro / Dollar parity. The impact of the chip crisis still continues. Parallel to this, in the first three months of the year, our automotive industry exports decreased by approximately 3 percent to 7,5 billion dollars. Our average monthly automotive exports in the first three months is 2,5 billion dollars,” he said.

Supply industry exports increased by 11 percent

Exports of the Supply industry, which constitutes the largest product group in March, reached 11 billion 1 million dollars with an increase of 162 percent, while exports of Passenger Cars decreased by 34 percent to 685 million dollars, exports of Motor Vehicles for Goods Transport decreased by 3 percent to 534 million dollars, Bus-Minibus-Midibus exports by 27 percent. increased to $124 million.

While exports to Germany, the country to which the most exports are made in the supply industry, increased by 9%, another important market, France, 16%, USA 25%, UK 17%, Spain 51%, Poland 21%. 22, 65% increase in exports to Romania, 28% decrease in exports to Russia, 40% to Slovenia and XNUMX% to Egypt.

In passenger cars, exports decreased by 70% to France, 24% to Italy, 22% to Spain, 44% to Germany, 33% to the United Kingdom, 20% to Poland and 38% to Belgium. Exports increased by 10% to Israel and 84% to Bulgaria.

In Motor Vehicles for Goods Transport, exports increased by 18% to Italy, 24% to the USA, 15% to Spain, 17% to France, 40% to Romania, and 37% to Sweden.

In the Bus Minibus Midibus product group, exports increased by 168% to France, the country with the highest export volume, 30% to Italy, another important market, a very high rate of export growth to Azerbaijan and Czechia, and a decrease of 39% to Germany. The export of Tow Trucks, which is among other product groups, increased by 2022% in March 16 and amounted to 142 million dollars.

Exports to Germany fell by 5%

With a 5 percent decrease, 411 million dollars were exported to Germany, which is the largest market on a country basis. Last month, 4 million dollars were exported to the United Kingdom, with a decrease of 269 percent. Exports to Italy decreased by 2% and became 241 million dollars in March, while exports to France 30%, Belgium 14%, Poland 67%, Egypt 31%, Morocco 21%, Russia 68%. exports decreased by 13% to Israel, 133% to Czechia, and 27% to Denmark.

Exports to the EU decreased by 6 percent

Exports to the European Union countries, which are the largest market on the basis of country group, decreased by 6% and became 1 billion 807 million dollars in March. European Union countries received a 67% share of exports in March. Last month, there was also a 16% decrease in exports to African Countries, a 50% decrease in exports to Commonwealth of Independent States, and an increase of 16% to Middle Eastern Countries.
