Tesla Delivered Record Number of Vehicles in the First Three Months of 2022

Tesla announced that it delivered a record number of vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. Moreover, it is remarkable that this performance took place despite the partial shutdown in China, which has a "zero Kovid" policy, and the global shortage of semiconductors.

The famous electric car manufacturer delivered 310 thousand 48 vehicles in the first three months of the year, delivering 2021 more vehicles than in the last three months of 1.500, and 68 percent more vehicles compared to the first three months of the previous year. According to Refinitiv data, experts expected an average of 308 vehicle deliveries during this period.

According to Tesla founder Elon Musk's twitter message, this quarter has been a very difficult period due to the disruptions in supply chains; however, it still broke the seventh consecutive quarterly delivery record. Tesla produced 305 vehicles in the January-March period, which is less than the 407 vehicles produced in the previous quarter. This slight drop was due to the fact that the Shanghai facility had to be closed for several days to contain the COVID-305 outbreak.
