Conducting all its activities in line with the principles of sustainability, TEMSA has become a signatory of the UN Global Compact. TEMSA aims to make its social, economic and environmental commitments more systematic by participating in the UN Global Compact.

TEMSA, one of the world's leading bus and midibus manufacturers, has become a signatory to the UN Global Compact (United Nations Global Compact) in order to accelerate its sustainability journey within the scope of reducing environmental impacts, providing benefit to society and creating value for its employees.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with more than 160 companies located in more than 15 countries, over 5 thousand external signatories and 69 Local Networks. By participating in the UN Global Compact, TEMSA is committed to aligning its strategies in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption with the ten universally accepted principles, and to support sustainable development goals in line with these goals. As a UN Global Compact signatory, TEMSA, which has become a part of a global movement composed of sustainable companies and stakeholders, takes joint responsibility to reach a better world with an approach based on sustainability principles.

MORE THAN HALF OF BUS PRODUCTION WILL BE ELECTRIC

For TEMSA, which believes that successes in the field of sustainability will be decisive in the future of companies, one of the most important items of its sustainability agenda is its responsibilities towards the environment. In this context, the company focuses on reducing the effects of the climate crisis, energy efficiency for low-carbon growth and the use of renewable energy. With the vision of "Smart Mobility", which it defines as sustainable and smart mobility, the company tries to reduce its environmental impact by reducing the carbon footprint of its products with electric vehicles and battery technologies. Today, TEMSA, one of the world's leading companies in electric vehicle technologies, is positioned as the leading player of the market in target geographies.

Pioneering Turkey's goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions from all new trucks and buses at the COP26 Climate Summit, the company plans to meet more than half of the total bus volume from electric vehicles in 2025.

“WE EXPANDING OUR SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS”

TEMSA CEO Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, stating that they have carried their sustainability efforts within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to an international scale by participating in the UN Global Compact, shared the following information: “As a company that gained sustainability awareness years ago and operates with the principle of responsibility, UN Global Compact We are proud to be a part of it. TEMSA's experience, technological know-how and infrastructure, especially in electrification, will lead to a better future. As a company that exports electric vehicles to Sweden, which is one of the countries with the highest awareness of electrification in the world, serves in Silicon Valley, the heart of technology in the world, and has launched its electric vehicle with its own battery systems, what we have done so far is only the beginning for us. With new markets, new technologies and new projects, TEMSA is one of the flag carrier companies of electrification, which is the most important element of zero-emission life, not only in our country but also all over the world. As we move forward on this path with the mission of a better and sustainable life, we are now expanding our efforts by being included in the UN Global Compact.”
