National racing driver Cem Bölükbaşı will compete in the second leg of the Formula 2 World Championship in Jeddah. Bölükbaşı, who will have the first street race track experience of his career, finished both Bahrain races in 6th place, rising 14 places last weekend.

Turkey's first Formula 2 racing driver, Cem Bölükbaşı, will race for the first time in his career on a street track in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between 2022-2 March in the second leg of the 25 FIA Formula 27 World Championship. Jeddah Street Circuit stands out as one of the longest and fastest circuits of the Formula 1 and Formula 2 championships.

Bölükbaşı will start the race week with training laps on Friday, March 25 at 14:25. On the same day, at 18:30, it will finish the first day by going to the qualifying tours. The national racing driver will perform his first race on Saturday, March 26 at 15:30 with a sprint race. Bölükbaşı will complete the weekend races with the main race on Sunday, March 27 at 16:35.

Cem Bölükbaşı said, “Jeddah is one of the longest and fastest built street circuits of the championship. With this structure, it is a special track. I think we made a very good start to the championship in Bahrain. To advance and develop this momentum, I am concentrating on getting the best result and the best position in Jeddah. "I'm looking forward to going to my first street race," he said.

Strong start to his Formula 2 adventure

Cem Bölükbaşı started the sprint race in the 2th place in the first Formula 20 races of his career in Bahrain last weekend and finished the race in the 14th place, rising six places at once. In the main race, which took place on Sunday, the young pilot started the race in the 20th place and went up 5 places to finish 15th. FIA Formula 2 Championship race schedule

The F18 20 Championship, which started on March 2-2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit, will continue for 13 weeks with races taking place at the circuits of Jeddah, Imola, Barcelona, ​​Monte-Carlo, Baku, Silverstone, Spielberg, Budapest, Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort and Monza, respectively. . The final of the championship, which has the same calendar as Formula 1, will end with the final on the Yas Marina track on 18-20 November 2022.
