Stating that the 100% electric bus project transformed by BELKA AŞ attracted the attention of the world, Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced that, “We were invited to the Manufacturers and Traders Electrified 2022 and UK-Turkey Green Finance Conference events held in London and where important names of the automotive industry were invited”. .

THE PROJECT WILL ATTEND TWO CONFERENCES IN LONDON
BELKA AS was invited to the 'UK-Turkey Green Finance Conference' (UK-Turkey Green Finance Conference) to be organized by the UK Ministry of International Trade on March 17, 2022 in London.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş will also attend the conference; The Electric Bus Transformation Project will be introduced at a dedicated stand. In order to promote a green finance ecosystem in Turkey, the environmental project of BELKA AS will be showcased at the conference, where foreign investors will also take part.
BELKA AŞ was also invited to 'The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Electrified 23' (Engine Manufacturers and Investors Association Electrification Conference), where only 24-2022 automotive sector representatives from Turkey were invited on 2-3 March 2022. This conference will focus on how the automotive industry and its stakeholders and government can join forces to accelerate the transition to zero emissions mobility. The world-renowned conference will also bring together nearly 300 senior executives from the automotive, charging infrastructure, battery supply chain, energy, logistics industry and various government agencies.

Emphasizing that being invited to the two conferences to be held in London will ensure that the project is heard by the whole world, BELKA AŞ General Manager Dursun Çiçek said:
“In 2021, we have transformed a diesel bus into a 100% electric bus for the first time in Turkey and even in the world. After its introduction, this project attracted great attention around the world. This zamSo far, more than 30 countries have contacted us about this project and wanted to cooperate. We started mass production. After mass production, it became clear that this business is reliable and sustainable. As BELKA, we participated in the CFA Competition (England Ministry of Industry Climate Finance Accelerator) supported by the UK Ministry of Industry. Our converted buses attracted great attention in this competition. On March 17, under the title of Yeşil Finans Turkey, the United Kingdom Secretary of the Treasury, the Mayor of London and the same ministerial level participation from Turkey will be ensured. zamAt the same time, a one-day financial event will be held with the participation of our President Mansur Yavaş. At this event, CFA gave a special place to our converted bus and a special booth was opened for our project. On March 17, we will represent Ankara and our country with this project. It will be a concrete example that our project has made an impact in the international arena. Likewise, a week later, an event will be held in London, where the important names of the bus industry will come together. We were also specially invited to this event. It has been 1 year since we realized our project and these invitations are very important developments for us. We are confident that we will return with very good collaborations and results with our project in both events.”
The expenses of all participants of BELKA AS that will participate in the conference will be covered by SMMT and the UK Government.
