Mercedes-Benz Türk has become the official transportation sponsor of the Amputee Football National Team, one of the branches of the Turkish Physically Handicapped Sports Federation. The signing ceremony held at Haliç Congress Center on Thursday, March 31, was attended by Mercedes-Benz Türk Chief Executive Officer Süer Sülün, Turkish Physically Handicapped Sports Federation President Muaz Ergezen, national team players, Koluman Otomotiv Endüstri A.Ş. Chairman of the Board of Directors Kaan Saltık and Mercedes-Benz Türk executives attended.
Within the scope of this agreement; Mercedes-Benz Türk has also redesigned the interior of the vehicle, which it has specially dressed, in line with the needs of the Amputee Football National Team athletes. This vehicle will serve the Amputee Football National Team athletes.
In his speech at the ceremony, President of Turkish Physically Disabled Sports Federation Muaz Ergezen said: With the establishment of TBESF, a new page has been opened in the access of our physically disabled individuals to sports in Turkey. Every goal scored by our Amputee Football National Team players, who are frequently mentioned on this page with their success, indirectly contributes to the recognition of other branches of our federation. We have reached where we are today with small steps and impossibilities. Now we are a big community that dreams much bigger and never feels alone. The greatest architects of this transformation are our athletes and valuable supporters. For this reason, it is a great source of happiness and pride for us that a big brand like Mercedes-Benz Türk joins our supporters as the official transportation sponsor of the Amputee Football National Team. I hope our cooperation will be beneficial to both institutions. In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to express that I sincerely believe that we will win this important trophy to our museum as the champion at the 2022 Amputee Football World Championship, which we will host in Istanbul this year.”
