Anadolu Isuzu, which continues its production in the commercial vehicle segment without slowing down under the pandemic conditions and continues to expand into new markets while strengthening its position in the existing markets during this period, became the "Export Champion" for the 2021th time in the midibus segment, according to the Automotive Industry Association (OSD) 18 data. In addition, the company, which increased its share in Turkey's midibus and bus segment exports to 17,2% in this period, reached the highest level in its export history with this value. Considering only the exports in the midibus segment, Anadolu Isuzu's share reached the level of 52%. In the bus segment only, Anadolu Isuzu's share in exports was 10%.
“Record increase in exports despite the decline in the sector”
Anadolu Isuzu General Manager Tuğrul Arıkan said in his statement on the subject: “As Anadolu Isuzu, we are very pleased with the momentum we have achieved in 2021 and especially the successes we have achieved in exports. Last year, the number of vehicles we exported in the midibus segment was 4 times the most fuel-efficient other exporter company. In line with the aforementioned result, we were able to achieve the 'Export Championship', which has become a tradition for our company in this segment, for the 18th time. We achieved a significant success in this segment as well, reaching a share of 10 percent in total bus exports. Considering that our country is the bus production center of the world, it will be seen more clearly what an important success this is. While the total bus and midibus exports from Turkey decreased by 2021% in the sector in 24, as Anadolu Isuzu, we increased our unit-based exports by 113% in the same period. In this respect, 2021 has been our third best year in our export history, after 2008 and 2019. As Anadolu Isuzu, we will continue to make qualified and versatile contributions to Turkey's economy by producing and exporting.”
