Toyota exhibited its innovations at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon. Innovations developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing reflect the brand's interest in customer motorsport activities. At the fair, Toyota introduced the GR GT3 concept, which was developed with the desire to participate in GT3, the pinnacle of customer motorsport.

Commercializing its motorsports vehicles rather than adapting its production cars for motorsport use, as in the GR Yaris, Toyota continues to develop GT3 and passenger cars using the feedback it receives from its various motorsport activities.

In addition to the GR GT3 concept, Toyota also showed the limited production GRMN Yaris in Tokyo. Only 500 units of the new GRMN Yaris will be produced and will only be available in Japan. With a weight reduction of around 20 kg, the width of the vehicle has been increased by 10 mm for aerodynamic improvements and the vehicle height has been reduced by 10 mm for a lower center of gravity.

Another concept showcased in Tokyo was the bZ4X GR Sport Concept based on the electric bZ4X. This new concept vehicle aims to further enhance driving satisfaction and performance. The Toyota bZ4X GR Sport Concept draws attention with its larger tires, sports seats and matte black body panels.
