The new Ford Mustang Mach-E, inspired by the iconic Ford Mustang and planned to be put on sale in Turkey in 2022, passed the test of eco-driving experts in Norway. In the 807,2 kilometer journey, the eco-driving experts did not stop once to recharge the Mach-E. The test route ran from Trondheim in northern Norway to Kristiansand in the south. On the route they crossed the mountains, dropped to minus temperatures. In fact, due to a rather bad traffic accident, they waited in traffic for five hours. However, the Mach-E's one-time charge was enough for all these adventures.

Test pilots used the Mach-E RWD model with an extended range battery. They completed their journey by covering almost 200 kilometers more than the target kilometer.

Henrik Borchgrevink and Know Wilthil, who previously completed the eco-driving test with our Mondeo, Fiesta and Focus models, also set a world record by driving a 1,249 horsepower Mustang for 776 kilometers (300 miles) on a single tank of fuel. The adventurous duo managed to travel 1.616 kilometers with the Ranger without refueling.

Borchgrevink and Wilthil shared advice for those who want to do the eco-driving test after their Mustang Mach-E RWD victory;

“Keep your eyes on the road, keep it still. Drive smoothly so you can plan the best possible ride and avoid the need to brake. Also, to go as far as you can, you have to stay low and accelerate evenly when accelerating.”
