In recent years, the demand for electric vehicles has been growing all over the world. While electric vehicles that minimize carbon emissions play an important role in environmental sustainability, the interest shown in electric vehicles is increasing day by day due to the concern for the clean environment and respect for nature. While the existing energy infrastructure in many regions of Turkey is not in a position to meet the energy needs of electric vehicles, Hager continues its R&D and innovation studies for a sustainable future.

It is estimated that the market share of electric vehicles in the world will increase to 2025 percent by 29 with model diversity and new investments. E-mobility includes fully electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and those using hydrogen fuel cell technology. In the face of rising CO2 emissions and increasingly scarce fossil fuel resources, electromobility creates an integrated climate, energy and mobility strategy for changing societies.

In addition to the investments in charging stations in Turkey, solutions should be developed in energy storage areas in order to ensure the continuity of the energy obtained from renewable energy sources. In this way, it is necessary to prevent people from being content with only the energy coming from the grid, and to store renewable energy, to charge vehicles efficiently and to get rid of high energy costs.

Electric vehicles need space

The existing energy infrastructure in many regions in Turkey is not in a position to meet the energy needs of electric vehicles. First of all, municipalities should work in the field of electric charging infrastructure, and certain parts of the parking lots should be reserved for electric vehicles.

As the existing infrastructure cannot meet the demand at the moment, as a result of electric vehicles taking more place on the roads, it is necessary to focus on microgrids.

Hager creates solutions

Continuing its R&D and innovation studies for a sustainable future, Hager Group focuses on energy monitoring, electric charging stations and microgrids in line with its efforts in the field of energy efficiency. In addition to investing in charging stations, Hager also operates in the field of energy storage to ensure energy continuity, ensuring the storage of renewable energy and efficient charging of vehicles.
