Hyundai Presents Its New Mobile Camshaft Droid

Hyundai Motor Group has announced its small mobility platform using the latest robotic technologies. The new generation robot, named Mobile Eccentric Droid (MobED), has an innovative design. Independent suspensions and four wheels, which provide optimum movement even on the steepest and roughest roads, give superior maneuverability to the flat and rectangular body. This advanced suspension freely adjusts the wheelbase and steering angles, allowing the platform to move with ease in the toughest environments. MobED will generally be used indoors and in rough terrain conditions. Robots, which will help the existing personnel of the companies, can also easily enter hard-to-reach places and both zamIt will save time and also keep life safety in the foreground.

Driven by an advanced "Eccentric Wheel" drive and hi-tech steering, the robot is equipped with the most innovative mobility technologies, including braking and height control systems. MobED provides optimum adaptation to various road surfaces while maintaining the same zamIt has a motor on each wheel. While these engines provide instant power to the wheels, sensitive steering responses control the overall stance of the body in the most ideal way. In this way, multi-directional mobility is increased, and when high or low floors are detected, the movement speed and direction of travel are not affected. The 12-inch large tires of the robot, which is highly stabilized, absorb shocks and vibrations and carry the load on the body or the breakable items to the place where it will be taken without being damaged.

The robot, which is 67 cm long, 60 cm wide, 33 cm high and weighs 50 kg, can expand its wheelbase up to 65 cm for optimum balance in high-speed driving. In narrower and more rough areas, it reduces this distance to 45 cm for low-speed maneuvers. The robot, which can reach a maximum speed of 30 km / h, has a battery capacity of 2 kWh. Thanks to this battery, it can drive for about four hours on a single charge.

Designed for mobility requirements and modularity, MobED can be used in a variety of applications depending on the device installed. MobED also has a remarkable feature for transporting people. Featured as a mobility device for the elderly or disabled, the robot is the same zamIt can also be used as a stroller.

Hyundai Motor Group will showcase this advanced robot at CES 5, which will be held in America from January 8 to 2022, 2022.
