Just five years after its launch, the PEUGEOT SUV 3008, one of the brand's best-selling models, produced at the Sochaux factory, has reached one million production units.
PEUGEOT, one of the world's leading automotive brands, has dropped the 3008 millionth of the PEUGEOT SUV 1, one of the most important models of its SUV success worldwide and in Turkey. The SUV 3008 has crossed the one million mark and marked a very important milestone. The car, produced in Europe and China, won 2017 awards worldwide, winning the hearts of automobile experts and consumers in different parts of the world, including the 76 Car of the Year award, while the 1 millionth one was ceremonially taken off the line of the Sochaux factory in France.
Maintains segment leadership
The PEUGEOT SUV 3008 has been the leader in its segment since its first month on the French market. In Europe, it ranks second in the SUV segment in 2021. It is also the first in Portugal, the second in Italy and Spain, and has a strong stance in the Southern European market. While 65 percent of the model's sales are realized in the European market, Turkey, Israel, Japan and Egypt are among the leading markets outside Europe. PEUGEOT SUV 3008 is among the models that played the most important role, together with PEUGEOT SUV 2021, in reaching the leadership of the brand, which closed last year as the leader of the total SUV market in our country, in the total SUV segment in October 2008. While more than 3008% of the global sales of the PEUGEOT SUV 80 model are preferred with automatic transmission, approximately 38% of them attract the consumers with the upper equipment versions. This stands out as an indicator that confirms the positive progress of the PEUGEOT brand's upgrading strategy in this model.
