CUPRA's first fully electric passenger car, Born, will be available with Goodyear tires. Goodyear's 18 – 20 inch EfficientGrip Performance model was chosen for the Born.

CUPRA will offer the Born, its first fully electric passenger car, with Goodyear summer tires as original equipment. CUPRA has added a variety of sporty hatchbacks and crossovers to its product line-up, including its most powerful model ever, the Formentor VZ1, with Goodyear Eagle F5 SuperSport tyres. The brand's first fully electric vehicle will also be available with Goodyear tires.

CUPRA Born's top-of-the-range option offers a driving range of up to 77 km on a single charge with its 540 kWh battery, while it accelerates to 0-50 km per hour in 2,9 seconds.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tires in 215/55R18, 215/50R19 and 215/45R20 sizes will be fitted as original equipment for CUPRA, Born.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance has been developed to provide drivers with high mileage and driving range, while maintaining excellent braking performance on wet and dry roads. The factors that provide this stand out as the high elasticity and flexibility offered by the treads that reduce wear, and the softer rubber material that causes the blocks to bend in order to evacuate water in wet conditions. Larger tread blocks increase tightness in turns, providing drivers with higher safety and stability during sudden maneuvers on dry ground.

Hans Vrijsen, Managing Director of Consumer OE, Goodyear EMEA: “We are delighted to have chosen Goodyear tires as original equipment for CUPRA's exciting new model, Born. It is also a great honor for us to be a part of the brand's first fully electric car, given our already successful collaboration with CUPRA. The transition to electric vehicles is an important part of Goodyear's strategy. At Goodyear, we offer a wide range of tires to suit the unique requirements and performance characteristics of electric vehicles.” he said.

Goodyear and CUPRA's collaboration extends to the tracks. Goodyear, the official tire supplier of PURE ETCR, the world's first multi-brand all-electric touring vehicle championship, supplies tires to all 670 horsepower vehicles competing in this innovative series. The e-Racer model of CUPRA, which has been a part of the ETCR (Electric Touring Auto Racing) platform since its establishment, became the champion of the inaugural season under the management of Mattias Ekström.
