World Famous Battery Manufacturer Farasis to Invest in Turkey for Domestic Cars

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said that world-famous battery manufacturer Farasis will invest in Turkey for domestic automobiles and gave the good news that TOGG and FARASIS' 20 GWh battery investment will start in Gemlik in the near future.

Work continues on the domestic automobile, which is planned to go into mass production at the end of 2022. The sharing of the video where the domestic car tested in Istanbul Park reached a speed of 4,8 km in 100 seconds also caused the excitement of millions.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, on the other hand, multiplied his excitement with the statement he made today and said that the world-famous battery manufacturer FARASİS will invest in Turkey for domestic automobiles.

Stating that Turkey's Automobile Project, which is the common dream of 85 million, is advancing with firm steps, Varank said, “An investment of 2,5 billion liras has been completed so far, this amount will reach 3,5 billion liras at the end of the year. As targeted, the first vehicle will be off the mass production line by the end of 2022.”

Minister Varank said, “Our work on charging infrastructure that will support the spread of electric vehicles in our country, especially TOGG, has accelerated. We have published the technical standards. We have determined the need for a city-by-county district charging station. We have designed support mechanisms for this.”
