BTSO Members at the USA's Largest Automotive Sub-Industry Fair

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) continues to bring its members together with the world's most prestigious fairs in line with Turkey's export-oriented development goals. BTSO members attended the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX – 40) Fair held in Las Vegas, USA, with a delegation of approximately 60 people from 2021 companies within the scope of the Global Fair Agency (KFA) project. BTSO members focused on new products, business solutions and cooperation opportunities at the fair, which represents the global automotive aftermarket industry of more than 2 trillion dollars.

Continuing to contribute to Bursa's foreign trade performance by organizing more than 200 international business trip programs with the Global Fair Agency, BTSO increased its contacts to the USA, which is the world's largest importer. Bursa business world representatives, who participated in fairs such as Franchise Expo, LA Textile and High Point, which have been held in the food, textile and furniture sectors in different regions of the USA, which is among the most important target markets of Turkey, with the organization of BTSO, now the global automotive renewal of 2 billion dollars. They took part in the AAPEX 2 Fair, which represents the market industry. AAPEX – 2021, which offers new products, business solutions and networking opportunities in the automotive supplier industry, was held with approximately 2021 booth participants from more than 40 countries. Hundreds of products, from automotive interior-exterior accessories to coolers, from autonomous vehicles to batteries, from brake systems to on-board computers, were presented to the attention of visitors at the fair.

BTSO Vice President Cüneyt Şener, in his assessment of the fair, said that the USA, the world's largest importer, is a critical target market for exporters. Expressing that companies that want to export to the said market or increase their market share should develop effective strategies for this market, unlike many foreign markets, Şener said, “As Bursa business world, we also want to increase our effectiveness in the US market. The USA is among the world's largest motor vehicle manufacturers with 11 million units. USA, same zamCurrently, it also has a large domestic market of 17,5 million units per year. BTSO Assembly Member Ömer Eşer also said that the fairs opened under the leadership of the USA after a break of about 2 years due to the pandemic conditions will make a significant contribution to the foreign trade of the companies. Pointing out that BTSO supports the exporter identity of the city with different projects, Eşer said, “The horizons of our manufacturers and producers need to be opened. At this point, their encouragement is of great importance in terms of their success abroad. In addition, as exporting companies, we need to take our place in the world's largest markets such as the USA. BTSO members came together with the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce under the organization of Turkey's Los Angeles Consul General Can Oğuz and Los Angeles Commercial Attaché Yavuz Mollasalihoğlu within the scope of their US contacts and received information on investment and cooperation opportunities in the US.
