Otokar will manufacture and export 136 Doruks and 100 Kents within the scope of the tender for 36 buses for the public transportation needs of Amman Metropolitan Municipality, the capital of Jordan.

Within the scope of the tender, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and amounting to approximately 136 million dollars including taxes, Otokar will also offer 32-year vehicle maintenance and driver trainings in addition to vehicles. Deliveries of 2 medium-sized Doruk buses and 100 36-meter city buses are planned to be completed by the end of 12.

OTOKAR BUS WILL REACH 271 UNITS IN AMMAN METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY
Reminding that as Otokar, they carry out regular research and development studies to contribute to urban transportation, Görgüç continued as follows: “We attach importance to research and development studies by focusing on user needs and expectations. In the last 10 years, we have allocated an average of 8 percent of our turnover to R&D activities. We had previously received bus orders from Amman Metropolitan Municipality and completed their deliveries. Otokar buses continue to serve successfully in the Amman Metropolitan Municipality fleet. It is very important for us to be preferred again in the purchase of new buses, as it shows that we produce vehicles that fit the needs and that we are satisfied with our vehicles. With the new deliveries, the number of Otokar branded vehicles that will serve in Amman Metropolitan Municipality will reach 271.”
