Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and Bitci MXGP of AFYON were completed in Afyonkarahisar, where two stages of the World Motocross Championship (MXGP), the formula of motocross, were held.

Under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, 8th stage of MXGP in Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and 9th stage of Bitci MXGP of AFYON will be held in World Motocross Championship (MXGP), World Junior Motocross Championship (MX2), World Women's Motocross Championship (MXWomen) and European Motocross. Championship (EMXOPEN) races were held. For each race, a qualifying lap and two races and a prize bench were determined.

With the participation of nearly 28 athletes from 120 countries, Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and Bitci MXGP of AFYON, Turkey MotoFest, Europe's biggest event in 2021, attracted great attention. 8 people followed the 150.000-day event.

THE BEST OF AFYON MADE 4 IN HERLINGS 4

Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and MXGP of AFYON races, where the best motocross racers of the world were sweating, attracted great attention from all walks of life. Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings from the Red Bull KTM Racing Team, who won the MXGP of TURKEY and races held in 2018 and 2019, continued to win all the races in Turkey by finishing both races this year.

The races in Turkey went well for Tim Gajser of Slovenia from Honda Team HRC, the champion of the last two years and the leader in the world rankings. Tim Gajser, who was second in the race in 2018, finished fourth in the race in 2019. Gajser continued his rise by taking 3rd place in Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and second place in Bitci MXGP of AFYON. Thus, after Herlings, Afyon Motorsports Center continued to bring luck for Gajser.

Italian Antonio Cairoli from the Red Bull KTM Racing Team, who has participated in the races in Turkey only in the first year's MXGP of TURKEY and finished in 8th place, finished the Bitci MXGP of TURKEY in fifth place this year. Former champion Cairoli took the third place on the podium in Bitci MXGP of AFYON.

The MX2018 champion of 2019, 2020, 2, Jorge Prado of Spain from Red Bull KTM Racing Team finished MX2018 of TURKEY in 2th place in 6 and finished MX2019 of TURKEY in 2 in first place. Competing in this year's MXGP, Prado took the second place in Bitci MXGP of TURKEY. Bitci finished in 10th place in MXGP of AFYON due to falling in the first race. Thus, it fell to fifth place in the overall ranking.

VIALLE WINS IN MX2, RENAUX MAINTAINS LEADERSHIP

In Bitci MX2 of TURKEY and Bitci MX2 of AFYON, last year's champion, French Tom Vialle from Red Bull KTM Racing Team, came first. France's Maxime Renaux from Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team, which is in the first place in the world ranking, continued its leadership as the owner of the second podium in both races.

Vialle was fifth in the MX2019 category in Turkey, where it competed for the first time in 2, and finished the season fourth. Reaching the championship in 2020, Vialle came in 11th place this year because he did not participate in the England, Italy and Netherlands races, and left 9th at the end of two races in Turkey.

Renaux, who was 2018th in the MX2 of TURKEY race in 16, finished fourth in the 2019 race. Finishing the season in third place last year, the racer continues this year's lead in the fourth stage of the MX2 in the Netherlands.

Staying in fourth place in Bitci MX2 of TURKEY, Italian Mattia Guadagnini from Red Bull KTM Racing Team took the third place in Bitci MX2 of AFYON. Guadagnini, who is currently in second place in the world rankings after Renaux, took 2019th place in the MX2 of TURKEY race in 10 for the first time. Completing 2019 in 30th place, Guadagnini finished last year in 29th place. Guadagnini continues to struggle for second place in the overall ranking this year.

Reaching number three on the podium at Bitci MX2 of TURKEY, Australian Jed Beaton from Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory MX2 finished the Bitci MX2 of AFYON in fifth place. Coming to Turkey as the 6th in the world ranking, Beaton rose to the fourth place after two stages. Beaton, who could not come to Turkey despite competing in 2018 and 2019, had risen to 4th place in the world last year. Beaton, who was in the sixth place while coming to the Turkey race with two stages this year, moved up to the fourth place at the end of the two stages.

In the third stage of the World Women's Motocross Championship, MXWomen of TURKEY and in the fourth stage of the MXWomen of AFYON, Cortney Duncan and Kiara Fontanesi continued to compete.

New Zealander Courtney Duncan from Bike it MTX Kawasaki, which came to Turkey in the second place in the world ranking, became the leader by winning the MXWomen of TURKEY race and completing the MXWomen of AFYON race in second place. Duncan, who won the MXWomen race held for the first time in Turkey in 2019, declared his championship in Turkey. Duncan, the champion of the last two years, made a big breakthrough in Turkey this year and achieved an important success on the way to the championship.

Coming to Turkey in fifth place in the world ranking, Italian Kiara Fontanesi from GASGAS rose to second place in the world by winning the MXWomen of TURKEY race and the MXWomen of AFYON race. The champion of 2017 and 2018, Fontanesi is also struggling to make up for last year's fourth place finish this year.

Swiss Nancy Van De Ven from Yamaha Ceres 71 Racing, who was third in MXWomen of TURKEY and fourth in MXWomen of AFYON, maintained her fourth place in the world rankings. Finishing the season in second place for the last three years, Van De Ven also placed third in the MXWomen of TURKEY in 2019.

Germany's Larissa Papenmeier from Yamaha Racing 423, who came in sixth place in the world ranking, finished MXWomen of TURKEY in fifth place and MXWomen of AFYON in third place. Papenmeier finished MXWomen of TURKEY in 2019 in 7th place.

THE CHAMPION OF EUROPE IS ANNOUNCED IN AFYON

In the EMXOpen of TURKEY, the fourth leg of the European Motocross Championship (EMXOpen), Italian Davide De Bartoli from Honda came first, Italian Simone Croci from Husqvarna came second, and Polish Tomasz Wysocki from JD GUNNEX KTM Racing Team came in third. Nicolas Dercourt of France from Honda SR Motoblouz finished first, Davide De Bartoli finished second and Tomasz Wysocki finished last in EMXOpen of AFYON.

In the EMXOpen races held for the first time last year, the champion of the second year was determined in Turkey. Davide De Bartoli, the eighth runner-up of last year, declared his championship in Turkey.

Dercourt, who last competed in the MXGP in 2017, finished the season in second place at the EMXOpen, which he participated for the first time this year. Simone Croci, who went to Europe for the first time, placed third in her EMXOpen this year.

IRMAK YILDIRIM GOES TO HISTORY

National athlete Irmak Yıldırım, who participated in the championship from Turkey, finished 25th in MXWomen of TURKEY and 23rd in MXWomen of AFYON. The 16-year-old young athlete became the first Turkish female racer to compete in MXWomen.

On the other hand, Iran was represented in the race for the first time by Fahimeh Nematollahi.

The 8th stage of the World Motocross Championship, one of the most watched races in the world, Bitci MXGP of TURKEY and the 9th stage of Bitci MXGP of AFYON were held in the same week for the first time in the world. Nearly 28 racers from 120 countries competed in the races.

Bitci MXGP of TURKEY was run on 4-5 September and Bitci MXGP of AFYON on 7-8 September at Afyon MotorsTporları Center, which was awarded the “Best Track in the World”. The races, in which the world's best motocrossers will compete, are broadcast in 7.3 countries where 180 billion people live and are watched by 3.1 billion viewers.
