Within the scope of the agreement, Martaş Automotive will undertake the sales, marketing and distribution operations of Exide branded batteries in the Turkish market. Martaş Automotive will offer all products in Exide's automotive product group for sale. Established in 1888 and one of the most important companies in the world battery market with over 130 years of experience, Exide stands out as an indispensable supplier for the aftermarket and vehicle manufacturers. Emphasizing that Exide has a significant expertise in batteries with Start-Stop technology, Martaş Automotive Battery Business Unit Manager Ceyhan Kahriman said, “In the first place, we will offer conventional batteries with advanced technology, AGM-EFB Start-Stop batteries and heavy vehicle batteries with a wide product range. Thus, we will bring Exide batteries, which have the quality and performance to meet all the expectations of different vehicle users, to the Turkish market. In the coming periods, we plan to start our activities in different product groups such as marine and motorcycle.”

By the end of 2025, more than 35% of the total battery market is expected to consist of Start-Stop vehicle batteries. Therefore, all products suitable for the needs of Start-Stop vehicles are now included in our product range. All the technology used in these batteries comes from Exide's most important strength as an original equipment manufacturer.
