Hyundai Motor Company continues to run from success to success with the New KONA Electric model offered for sale in Turkey. One out of every four KONA models sold in Europe is KONA Electric, while this figure stands out as one out of every two vehicles in Germany. Enjoying the rising popularity in Europe, KONA is offered for sale with a total of five different variations: hybrid, electric and three internal combustion engines. KONA Elektrik, which has sold more than 100.000 in Europe to date, has sold more than 142.000 worldwide. The car, which was first introduced in 2018, is one of the models with the longest range in its segment with 484 km.

KONA Electric: Europe's first all-electric compact SUV

With the launch of KONA Electric, Hyundai became the first automaker to combine the two most important industry trends for the European market. Standing out with its fully electric powertrain and compact SUV body style, Hyundai KONA Electric can meet all expectations at the same time with its powerful electric motor, long driving range and stylish appearance. The vehicle, which is produced in the Ulsan factories in South Korea and the Nosovice factories in Czechia, also contributes to the zero emission and clean environment strategy that Hyundai wants to realize by 2040.

Hyundai to introduce 12 new electric models in four years

KONA Electric isn't the only electric model Hyundai has stepped up to claim. Launching the electric IONIQ 5 earlier this year, Hyundai plans to launch 2025 new electric cars by 12. In addition, Hyundai, which aims to sell 2025 EV vehicles annually by 560.000, will introduce a total of 23 new BEV models along with other brands in the group during the same period. In addition to this model offensive, Hyundai plans to make its entire product range in Europe by 2035 and all its models worldwide by 2040 fully electrified. In addition, the South Korean brand aims to account for 2040 to 8 percent of the global EV market by 10.
