Chinese automaker Chery has also entered the Sudanese market. The first launch in the country was held in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. China's Ambassador to Sudan, Ma Xinmin, who attended the launch, congratulated Chery and Sudan's GIAD Engineering Industrial Group for their successful cooperation and noted that the first batch of 300 Chery vehicles arrived in Sudan and welcomed the assembly of these vehicles.

Noting that China has been Sudan's largest trading partner for many years in a row, Sudanese Ministry of Industry Undersecretary Ismaay Shamdin stated that Chery's entry into the Sudanese market will not only encourage the development of the country's automobile industry, but will also offer Sudanese consumers more choices.
