Free Hearing Evaluation Test Application Started at Kızılay Metro Exit

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out studies prioritizing public health, in cooperation with the Turkish Audiologists and Speech Disorders Specialists Association, launched a free "Hearing Evaluation Test" application in the health cabin at the exit of Kızılay Metro as part of the 19-25 September International Week of the Hearing Impaired. The Metropolitan Municipality Health Affairs Department invited the citizens to have a hearing test until September 26 with the theme "Come, listen to us, prevent hearing loss" in order to inform the public and raise awareness.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, in cooperation with the Turkish Audiologists and Speech Disorders Specialists Association, launched a free "Hearing Evaluation Test" application in the health cabin at the Kızılay Metro exit as part of the 19-25 September International Week of the Hearing Impaired.

Metropolitan Municipality Health Affairs Department invited citizens to have a free hearing test with the theme of "Come listen to us, prevent hearing loss" in order to raise awareness about hearing problems and raise awareness of the public.

THE TARGET IS TO DETECT THE HEARING LOSSES, AND TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS

Stating that they aim to take precautions against possible hearing loss and therefore invite all Ankara residents to the hearing test, Metropolitan Municipality Health Affairs Department Head Seyfettin Aslan made the following evaluations:

“As part of the Hearing Impaired Week, we are working to raise awareness with services that prioritize public health. If care is not taken in children and adults, this disease, which will turn into an important health problem, is prevented by measures that can be taken. Together with the necessary information, we perform the hearing test here by the teams. All of our President Mansur zamAs the moment stated, we say, 'Every living thing is valuable in the Capital'."

President of the Turkish Audiologists and Speech Disorders Specialists Association, Prof. Dr. Gonca Sennaroğlu thanked Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş for his support and said:

“I would like to thank Mr. Mansur Yavaş and his team for giving importance to this week. We both inform the public about hearing balance problems and conduct a hearing screening. Even a minor hearing loss can cause serious problems in the future. Let's especially support our elderly people in the use of hearing aids. Hearing loss is a problem that supports dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Hearing loss also interferes with social life. Let's listen to their problems in order not to cause these problems in the future. We are waiting for you at Kızılay square for a week free of charge.”

CITIZENS ARE SATISFIED WITH THE APPLICATION

Citizens who had a free hearing test expressed their satisfaction with the application with the following words:

-Fatma Altioglu: “I was very pleased with the hearing test. For this, I had to go to the hospital and wait for hours. I saw it crossing the road and had it tested. Nice app. My results were also normal.”

-Şevket Gök: “I saw it crossing the road. I had hearing loss, I had a test and got the result. Very nice service. I will tell the people around me as well.”

-Feride Koksal: “They have launched a very useful application. When I was talking on the phone, I realized that I had problems. I saw it passing by here and I had a free test and saw the result. Thank you to those who contributed.”

The hearing test application, where the results are evaluated by the expert staff and the citizens are informed, will continue until September 26.
