In the statement made by the National Health Commission of China, it was announced that as of Wednesday, more than 12 million children aged 17-95 in the country have been vaccinated against Kovid-19.
Speaking at the press conference of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, Lei Zhenglong, an epidemic expert from the National Health Commission, said that a total of more than 19 million doses of vaccine have been administered to this age group. Lei added that more than 170 million people aged 60 and over have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, and a total of 200 million doses have been given to this age group.
On the other hand, it was announced that the number of people who received two doses of Kovid-19 vaccine in China exceeded 1 billion as of yesterday. In the statement of the commission, it was noted that as of Wednesday, the number of Kovid-19 vaccines administered in the country reached 2 billion 161 million 428 thousand and the number of people who received two doses of vaccine reached 1 billion 11 million 584 thousand. Comprehensive vaccination studies across the country were launched on 15 December 2020.
