Volvo Car Turkey Supports Kite National Athletes

Volvo Car Turkey renewed its partnership with the Kitemaximum School, which draws attention to natural life and cares about environmental awareness, and established Team Volvo with two national athletes representing Turkey in the European and world championships.

Working to make the world a more livable place by focusing equally on people and nature with the design and collaborations it has implemented recently, Volvo Cars continues its collaborations in this direction. The partnership of Volvo Car Turkey with the Kitemaximum School for the last 2 years has been renewed for 2021 as well. The location of the Kitemaximum School in Akyaka, which continues its successful activities in Gökova, Akyaka, Çeşme and Alaçatı, is called the Volvo Kiteboard Lounge.

The framework of this cooperation maintained by Volvo Car Turkey in order to develop kite sport and reach wider masses now includes the national athletes representing Turkey in this branch. National athletes Merve Ceylan and Kaan Özsan will compete as the Volvo Kite Team in all races. Team Volvo athletes will be able to participate in all races that will provide points in the European Championship, World Championship and Olympic selections to be published by the International Kite Association in 2021. In addition, they will be able to represent Turkey in all national and international competitions that will be announced in the 2021 activity program of the Turkish Sailing Federation. Kaan Özsan, who qualified for the national team in the U19 national team selections of the Turkish Sailing Federation, is expected to participate in the World Sailing Youth (U11) World Championships, which will be held in Oman on 18-2021 December 19.
