TAI Will Make Its First Delivery in 2025 in the HÜRJET Project

The first delivery of the Jet Training and Light Attack Aircraft HÜRJET Project is in 2025. Attending the Gebze Technical University (GTU) Aviation and Space Summit 2 event, TUSAŞ General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil gave important information about the ongoing activities for the HÜRJET project. prof. Dr. Temel Kotil announced that the Jet Training and Light Attack Aircraft HÜRJET will begin ground tests in early 2022. Noting that the first flight will be carried out in 2022 following the ground tests, Kotil announced that HÜRJET will perform a more mature flight on March 18, 2023. Saying that the first jet trainer will be delivered to the Air Force Command in 2025, Kotil stated that the work on the armed version (HÜRJET-C) could continue until 2027.

Asked about the deployment of HÜRJET to the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship ANADOLU, Kotil stated that the work continues, “Since HÜRJET will be an aircraft with a low stall speed, it is possible to land at TCG Anadolu. If it is necessary to change the stall speed, a change should be made in the wing structure as well.” found in the description.

The detail parts and assembly kits of HÜRJET, whose Critical Design Review activities were completed, took their place on the benches. It is expected that the assembly process will mature in 2021 and the aircraft will be “incarnated”.

Configurations planned to be worked on; Transition to Combat Preparedness Training, Light Attack (Close Air Support), Counter Force Duty in Training, Air Patrol (Armed and Unarmed), Acrobatic Demonstration Aircraft, Aircraft Carrier Compatible Aircraft. In project scope Iki to be used in test activities with a flightable prototype aircraft. great  static and great  It is planned to produce two fatigue test aircraft.

Static-1 wind tunnel tests were successfully carried out to verify the aerodynamic surface of the aircraft before the Preliminary Design Phase was completed. In this process, first of all, the configuration for the Prototype-1 aircraft was determined and meetings were held with all system suppliers. System layout studies were accelerated and aircraft structure started to be created. After the critical design and analysis activities were carried out, the Critical Design Phase was successfully completed at the end of February 2021.

"80 percent of the parts will be produced in the domestic auxiliary industry"

Detailed technical drawing publishing activities, which started in January 2021, were accelerated after the Critical Design Phase was completed. The activities are aimed to be completed in May 2021. Parts, whose technical drawings were published, started to be produced primarily in the auxiliary industry by the TAI R&D and Prototype Deputy General Management. In this context, 80 percent of the parts to be produced are planned to be produced by domestic auxiliary industry companies and 20 percent by TAI.

The completion rate of the team design activities of the project, in which approximately 500 TAI personnel work, reached approximately 66 percent and production started. It was stated that the first assembly tool installation is continuing. Component level assembly is slated to start by August 2021 and be completed by March 2022. Then, Final Assembly Line and Ground / Flight Test activities are planned to be carried out by TAI Aircraft Deputy General Manager.

HÜRJET Jet Training and Light Attack Aircraft

HÜRJET, Mach 1.2zami speed and 45,000 ft azamIt will be designed to operate at altitudes and will include state-of-the-art mission and flight systems. HÜRJET's Light Strike Fighter model, with a 2721 kg payload capacity, will be armed to be used in missions such as light attack, close air support, border security, and counter-terrorism in the armed forces of our country and friendly and allied countries.

The first flight of HÜRJET is planned to take place in 2022, after the completion of the prototype production and ground tests.
