Turkish Defense and Aviation Exports Exceeded 1.5 Billion Dollars

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, in July 2021, the Turkish defense and aerospace sector exported 231 million 65 thousand dollars. In the first seven months of 2021, the sector's exports amounted to 1 billion 572 million 872 thousand dollars. By the Defense and Aviation Industry sector;

While 2020 million 139 thousand dollars were exported by the Turkish Defense and Aviation Industry in July 475, there was an increase of 65,7% and the sector's exports increased by 2021 million 231 thousand dollars in July 65.

In the first seven months of 2020, sector exports were 1 billion 62 million 3 thousand dollars. The sector's exports increased by 48,1% compared to the same period of the previous year, exceeding the level of 1.5 billion dollars, and amounted to 1 billion 572 million 872 thousand dollars.

As of July 2020, sector exports to the United States of America amounted to 61 million 105 thousand dollars. The sector's exports increased by 10,8% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 67 million 689 thousand dollars. In the first seven months of 2021, exports to the USA amounted to 407 million 894 thousand dollars, with an increase of 59,3% compared to the same period of the previous year (was 649 million 772 thousand dollars).

As of July 2020, sector exports to Germany amounted to 5 million 5 thousand dollars. Sector exports increased by 49,7% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 7 million 491 thousand dollars. In the first seven months of 2021, exports to Germany amounted to 97 million 644 thousand dollars, with a decrease of 11,1% compared to the same period of the previous year (was 86 million 852 thousand dollars).

As of July 2020, sector exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 278 thousand dollars. The sector's exports increased by 216,9% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 883 thousand dollars. In the first seven months of 2021, exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 9 million 782 thousand dollars, with an increase of 1584,3% compared to the same period of the previous year (was 164 million 773 thousand dollars).

As of July 2020, sector exports to the United Arab Emirates amounted to 102 thousand dollars. Sector exports increased by 2021% in July 16155 and amounted to 16 million 663 thousand dollars. In the first seven months of 2021, exports to the United Arab Emirates amounted to 106 million 634 thousand dollars, with an increase of 18,6% compared to the same period of the previous year (was 126 million 438 thousand dollars).

As of July 2020, sector exports to the United Kingdom amounted to 2 million 89 thousand dollars. Sector exports increased by 2021% in July 75,2 and amounted to 3 million 659 thousand dollars.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), land and air vehicles produced by the Turkish defense and aerospace industry have an important place in exports. Turkish companies export to many countries including the USA, EU and Gulf countries.
