TotalEnergies is partnering with Uber to support the transition to electric vehicles and easier access to charging stations. Initially, the partnership with France is planned to expand to other European countries.

TotalEnergies will issue a TotalEnergies card to drivers currently using the Uber app and equipped with electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, which grant access to charging points located at their service stations and in the electric vehicle charging station networks it operates. Drivers will thus have access to 2021 charging points in France by the end of 20 and more than 2025 by 75. In addition, TotalEnergies and Uber will collaborate to identify optimal locations for future hubs and charging areas based on drivers' habits and journeys.

Drivers will also be able to participate in the TotalEnergies loyalty program "Club". Thus, they will be able to benefit from free Club assistance for one year, which includes a wide range of services, including roadside assistance for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Finally, drivers will have exclusive access to a campaign offer for an in-home service, including free management support, designed to encourage the installation of an electric charging point in their home, whether they live in flats or single-family homes.

Guillaume Larroque, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing France, said: “We are pleased with this collaboration to support drivers and, above all, their customers in their transition to more affordable, safer and accessible electric mobility. Our commitment is to provide them with services that meet their expectations, with a tailored charging network guarantee. “We have the same commitment to being a carbon-neutral company and to accompany cities on their journey towards transforming mobility and reducing carbon emissions.”

Laureline Serieys, Managing Director of Uber France, said: “This partnership with TotalEnergies is a cornerstone of our commitment to reach 2025 percent of electric vehicles by 50 and to support VTC drivers in their transition to electric vehicles. The company's expertise and charging network coverage will help eliminate some of the barriers drivers may face and allow them to make the transition to electric vehicles more seamless.”
