Karsan received the Gold Export Award as part of the award given by Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB) to OIB member companies that contributed to the automotive industry's being the export champion in 2020.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş, who received the award from OIB Board Member Cenk Uğur Sermet on behalf of Karsan, which is among the automotive companies that export the most in 2020, said, “In 2020, when production and exports were halted due to the pandemic, we focused our focus on the export of high-tech electric vehicles. With the export of combustion vehicles, we also responded to the demands of the domestic market. During this period, while our electric product range works non-stop in many parts of Europe, on the other hand, we accelerated our work on electric as our main focus, and finally on our first mass production level 4 autonomous vehicle in Europe and America. We continue to advance our exports and increase our operating profit with the dealer network we have established in different countries, especially in Europe, and the investments we have made in many profitable areas. In this direction, Karsan, which ranked 2020th in the ranking of the automotive companies that exported the most in 29, despite the pandemic conditions and showing superior export performance, was given the "Golden Export Award".
