The first races of the AVIS 2021 Turkish Track Championship were held on 10-11 July at the İzmir Ülkü Park track by Ülkü Motorsports Club. The races, in which a total of 27 cars, 11 in the super group and 38 in the maxi group, took to the track, witnessed great contention for two days.

In the first race of the Super Group, which was run over 10 laps on Saturday, July 15, Özkan Kırbacı took the first place with the VW Polo GTI, while the Opel Corsa OPC and Ümit Ülkü took the second place and the Mini JCW and Murat Engin saw the checkered flag in the third place. The 15-lap first race of the Maxi group is; İbrahim Okyay with Audi RS3 LMS TCR, Yiğit Eröge with VW Golf GTI and Cem Yudulmaz with Honda Civic Type-R EP3 finished with ranking.

The second races, which started with the reverse order of the drivers who achieved the first 6 places according to the results of the first race, were held on Sunday, July 11th. In the Super Group, experienced track pilot Ümit Ülkü was the first to see the checkered flag this time, while Özkan Kırbacı took the second place and Sinan Soylu with the Opel Corsa OPC took the third place. In the maxi group, İbrahim Okyay managed to complete 15 laps once again as the leader and won his second victory in İzmir, while Devrim Erdinç Efil, who could not complete the first race with a mechanical problem, took the podium in second place with his Honda Civic Type-R EP3, and Yiğit Eröge in third place.

The second leg races of AVIS 2021 Turkish Track Championship will be organized on 14-15 August at TOSFED Körfez Racetrack.
