Starting from the fact that the development of equality between men and women in working life brings along a long-term process, the company continues the process it started with the "Zero Tolerance to Violence" trainings, which it started after signing the protocol with the International Labor Organization (ILO) in 2019 to improve gender equality and increase women's employment. In line with the activities carried out by the ILO Turkey office to promote gender equality in working life, Karsan was the first institution to receive the "Zero Tolerance to Violence" training given through the ILO Academy. With the trainings given to Karsan employees, it is aimed to raise awareness about violence in both business and private life. In addition, Karsan; established a “Zero Tolerance to Violence Procedure” to support employees.

In this context, Karsan; She continues her awareness process, which she started in 2019 by signing a protocol with the International Labor Organization (ILO) Turkey Office to improve gender equality and increase women's employment, with “Zero Tolerance to Violence” trainings. Karsan, the company that created the first Zero Tolerance to Violence Policy in the world in accordance with ILO Standards, has recently become the first institution to receive “Zero Tolerance to Violence” training given by the ILO Academy.

Karsan employees participated in the “Zero Tolerance to Violence” training, which is the first training of the academy, which was established to continue the training given within the scope of the projects and programs carried out by the ILO on the digital platform under the epidemic conditions. The "Zero Tolerance to Violence" trainings, which are the continuation of the face-to-face gender equality trainings given to Karsan employees in the 2019-2020 period, aim to increase the awareness of Karsan employees. A cooperation protocol was signed with the ILO in 2019 in order to develop equality between men and women, increase women's employment and ensure the continuity of equality between women and men in Karsan's corporate policies. Within the scope of the model, gender equality trainings were given to employees in the management and production within Karsan in order to raise awareness about gender equality.

Procedure; It covers the steps to be taken and the tools and methods to be used to develop policies and practices that will ensure that the male and female employees of Karsan, which adopts gender equality as a principle, are minimally affected by domestic violence in business life.

Last year, Karsan signed the "Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs)" created in partnership with the UN Global Compact and the UN Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Unit (UN Women). In addition, Karsan created the “Gender Equality Policy” and “Zero Tolerance to Violence Policy” within the scope of the International 25-Day Campaign to Combat Gender-Based Violence, which started with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Solidarity on 10 November and ended on the 16 December Human Rights Day. .
