STM Autonomous Systems Attract Great Interest From Abroad

STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz stated that there is great interest in STM's Autonomous Systems from abroad, including Asian countries.

Answering Nikkei Asia's questions at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF), STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz said that there is great interest in the Rotary Wing Striker UAV/Smart Ammunition System KARGU from abroad, including Asian countries. Güleryüz stated that KARGU has been used successfully by the Turkish Armed Forces since 2018. Referring to the recent news about KARGU, Güleryüz said, "Unless the operator presses the button, it is not possible for the drone to target and attack."

STM, which wants to carry its success in the export of military naval platforms to autonomous systems, successfully carried out the ammunition test firing of the Fixed Wing Intelligent Striker UAV System ALPAGU, which it developed with its national engineering capability and which can operate effectively day and night by a single soldier, on 17 June 2021. President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir said that ALPAGU will go to the showcase and it will also receive demand from abroad.
