IMM, taking into account the upcoming holiday period, carried out a comprehensive cleaning work in the Islands. The work, which was carried out with a total of 66 personnel and 18 vehicles, lasted 2 days. In addition to pressurized water, local disinfectants were also used in the works. With a total of 22 personnel, coastal and sea cleaning was completed and the Islands were made ready for the summer season.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) carried out a summer cleaning in the Islands during this process where gradual normalization was discussed. The work carried out by İSTAÇ AŞ and IMM Marine Services Directorate in cooperation with the Adalar Municipality's Science Affairs Directorate was completed in 2 days. With the warming of the weather, Büyükada, Heybeliada, Kınalıada and Burgazadası, where the population is concentrated, were made ready for the mobility of the summer months.
LOCAL DISINFECTANT USED
Cleaning; mechanical sweeping, mechanical washing and manual sweeping methods. Disinfectant and pressurized water produced by İSTAÇ AŞ were used in order to protect the health of citizens in the works where the fight against COVID-19 was central. Thus, in these days when the tourism season will open, it was aimed to purify the Islands from the virus to some extent and to take precautions against the spread of the epidemic.
MADE WITH 66 STAFF
A total of 66 personnel, a total of 12 mechanical washing-sweeping vehicles, 6 double-cabin pickup trucks and 8 machinery-equipment worked in the extensive summer cleaning works in the Islands. On the first day, work was completed on Büyükada and Heybeliada. 44 personnel, 12 vehicles and 5 machinery-equipment took part in these works. On the second day, Kınalıada and Burgazadası were prepared for the summer months. The work, in which a total of 22 personnel, 6 vehicles and 3 machinery-equipment participated, was completed in the evening of the same day.
CLEANING AT THE SEA
IMM cleaned the Islands not only on land, but also on the coast and the sea. In this process, a total of 22 personnel, 1 sea surface cleaning boat (DYTT) and 2 double cabin pick-up truck coastal cleaning team worked.
