Domestic Production Precision Guidance Kit-82s Delivered to TAF

Ministry of National Defense and its subsidiary ASFAT A.Ş. Within the scope of the protocol signed between ASFAT and with the technical support of TÜBİTAK SAGE, the delivery ceremony of 1.000 HGK-82 precision guidance kits was held. The ceremony held at the 3rd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate in Etimesgut was attended by Minister of National Defense Akar and Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank as well as Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler and Force Commanders.

Minister Akar stated that they are looking forward to the National Ramjet Motorized Air-Air Missile Gökhan, which will be developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE and will strengthen the power of the Air Force Command, and other ongoing domestic and national projects to be finalized and included in the inventory, and said, “All these projects are aimed at reducing the foreign dependency of our country in the field of defense and These are vital projects aimed at increasing the effective, deterrent and respectable qualities of the TAF. For this reason, we will continue to work and produce with determination and determination day and night, without stopping, without getting tired. The Global Positioning System-KAŞİF, which was developed locally and nationally by the project's stakeholder TÜBİTAK SAGE, was offered to the TAF for the first time within the scope of this project. Thus, the rate of local and nationality in HGK-82 reached 80%.

Reminding that even infantry rifles were procured from abroad in the past, Minister Akar emphasized that now the national infantry rifle, warship, frigates, UAV/SİHAs, Storm howitzers, MLRAs, Atak helicopters, smart precision ammunition have been designed, built, manufactured and exported. .

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank said, “The HGK-82s we have delivered today; The first batch of which production was completed within the scope of a total of 1000 kits project carried out by ASFAT-TÜBİTAK SAGE partnership. Hopefully, it will all be delivered by August 2022.” The serial production of the product, whose development activities are carried out by TÜBİTAK SAGE, is carried out by ASFAT.

PRECISION GUIDANCE KIT-82

The Precision Guidance Kit-82, produced for the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces under the prime contractorship of ASFAT, has been turned into an ammunition that can be used in all weather conditions, giving the 500-lb MK-82 general purpose bombs smart and precise strike capability. .

Thanks to the HGK-82 Project, MK-82 General Purpose Bombs have achieved the ability to hit a defined target with a precision of 15-1 meters at a range of approximately 2 nautical miles.
