Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, noting that the automotive industry is going through a very rapid transformation, said, “Aluminum parts have started to come into play in the automotive industry. Especially the fact that there are lighter vehicles in carbon emissions and the more frequent use of such parts in electric vehicles makes these parts more valuable. With Turkey's Automobile, Turkey has demonstrated its claim in this field. Hopefully, we want to bring new suppliers to the changing and transforming industry with such companies. These companies will not only produce parts for Turkey but also carry their names abroad with the success they have achieved here, and they will be competitive in the world.” said.

Minister Varank visited Çelikel Aluminum company located in the Automotive Supply Industry Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (TOSB). During the visit, accompanied by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın and Çelikel Aluminum executives, Minister Varank was informed about the work carried out. Minister Varank, who visited the production areas and chatted with the workers, examined the activities in the production facility.

EXPORT VALUE PER KLOGRAM 5 EURO

Making a statement after the visit, Varank stated that Çelikel Aluminum is a 53-year-old family company and produces high-pressure injection aluminum automotive parts. He said that the company exports an average of 5 euros per kilogram, especially to prestigious brands in the world.

40 MILLION EURO EXPORT

Explaining that the company's 2020 exports are 40 million euros, Varank said, "Aluminum parts started to come into play rapidly in the automotive industry. Especially the fact that there are lighter vehicles in carbon emissions and the more frequent use of such parts in electric vehicles makes these parts more valuable.” said.

RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Emphasizing that an exemplary approach of the company is to establish a production facility that respects the environment and prioritizes recycling, Varank said, "It is not enough to just produce in the world, the more efficient you make your production processes, the more environmentally friendly you make companies come forward." he said.

NEW SUPPLIERS

Noting that the automotive industry is going through a very rapid transformation, Varank said, “With Turkey's Automobile, we are not talking about electric autonomous cars, we are talking about technological products. Turkey has put forward its claim in this field, I hope we want to bring new suppliers to the changing and transforming industry with such companies. These companies will not only produce parts for Turkey but also carry their names to good points abroad with the success they have achieved here, and they will be competitive in the world. In the coming years, they will continue to contribute to the Turkish economy by increasing their exports even more.” said.
