US Navy Legend class coast guard ship USCGC Hamilton (WMSL 753) conducted an exercise in the Black Sea on April 30, 2021. The Yavuz class TCG Turgutreis (F-241) frigate, affiliated to the Turkish Naval Forces, participated in the exercise conducted in the Black Sea. TCG Turgutreis first performed a transition exercise with USCGC Hamilton. The said ships carried out cross-platform helicopter exercises after the transition exercise. Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter connected to TCG Turgutreis landed on the helicopter pad of USCGC Hamilton. Taking off from the runway of USCGC Hamilton, the Eurocopter MH-65 Dolphin helicopter affiliated with the US Coast Guard Command landed on the runway of TCG Turgutreis. It was stated that the aforementioned exercises were carried out to improve the communication and ship handling capabilities of both ships.
