Opel Vivaro-e, where maximum efficiency meets smart German technologies, won the “International Van of the Year 2021” award.

Vivaro-e in the award, which is traditionally held every year and determined by the selection of European expert journalists; It was awarded with its zero-emission electric motor, its loading capacity that meets expectations, its battery with a range of more than 300 km, and its superior electronic equipment.

In the ceremony held at Opel's Rüsselsheim Headquarters with high hygiene measures, IVOTY Jury from LOGISTRA, Johannes Reichel, handed the award to Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller. Commenting on the issue, Lohscheller said, “Vivaro-e offers zero emission, the same cargo capacity as the internal combustion versions. The prestigious "International Van of the Year" award is in a sense a confirmation of this. We are very happy to receive this award and thank the jury for their votes ”.

German engineering in electric commercial vehicles: Vivaro-e

Vivaro-e, one of the most up-to-date examples of Opel expertise blended with German technology in commercial vehicles, offers different power and transport solutions according to user needs. According to the WLTP norm, the 75 kWh battery option of the Opel Vivaro-e offers a range of up to 330 km. The 50 kWh battery, offered for daily less intensive use, meets the needs with a range of 230 km. Vivaro-e offers professionals a free transportation and a large capacity, regardless of battery size. In this context, Vivaro-e has three different body lengths: 4,6 meters (Short), 4,95 m (Medium) and 5,30 m (Long); It is produced in different body types such as panel van, glass and open frame. Depending on the version, Vivaro-e offers 6,6 m3 cargo area and 1.200 kg carrying capacity to the users.

Opel Vivaro-e, which offers maximum safety electronic equipment as well as battery technologies; It is equipped with many auxiliary systems and advanced technologies, including an elevated display, lane tracking system, fatigue warning system, front collision warning system, emergency brake assist and a 180-degree panoramic reversing camera.

Opel electric light commercial vehicle family to grow

While the new Vivaro-e continues Opel's success in the IVOTY awards, the electric commercial vehicle family of the brand continues to grow. Having succeeded in receiving the IVOTY award with Combo Cargo in 2019, Opel aims to complete its electric light commercial product family with Combo and the new generation Movano in the near future.
