Adding fast and very powerful versions to its quality cars with the N brand, Hyundai Motor Company is now preparing to change all the balances in the B-SUV class with KONA N. Increasing its assertion especially in the European market with models with N badges, Hyundai also holds the title of the fastest B-SUV with KONA N. Introduced with the motto "Never Just Drive", meaning "Never Just Drive", the car will also inspire future electric racing cars as part of the brand's N strategy.
Also KONA N is not the latest member of the high performance N series, but the same zamcurrently the first N model to have an SUV body type. KONA N has a new generation 8-speed wet-type dual clutch gearbox (N DCT). The gear ratios of the car, which transmits the power it receives from the high performance 2.0 lt turbocharged GDI engine to the tires with the N DCT gearbox, are also specially developed for this version. This 8-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission developed by Hyundai in-house meets the responses of the high-performance engine instantly, zamIt is also very resistant to high torque. This gearbox, which has a faster gear shifting feature, offers three different driving modes: N Grin Shift (NGS), N Power Shift (NPS) and N Track Sense Shift (NTS).
The maximum torque produced by the high performance motor is 392 Nm. In N Grin Shift mode, more power output is given to maximize driving pleasure. The engine supports the desired driving style by changing the throttle response and acceleration according to the modes selected on the road or on the racetrack. KONA N is capable of a maximum speed of 240 km / h. In addition, when Launch Control is activated, it can complete the 0-100 km / h range in 5.5 seconds. This acceleration means an extremely impressive value for the B-SUV model.
Hyundai KONA N prefers to work with a number of systems to evenly distribute torque to the wheels. With the Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E ‑ LSD), the car offers maximum driving pleasure, especially on bends and exact turns on the tracks, and can be restrained safely with the high-performance N brake system. The vehicle, which has tires specially developed for KONA N, also draws attention to the lightened 19-inch N Racing wheels.
KONA N offers the same driving pleasure in all road conditions together with Launch Control (N Launch Control), Variable Exhaust System and most importantly N Grin Control System. The N Grin Control System offers a high level of customization by pairing it with five different driving modes. These driving modes, which are determined as Eco, Normal, Sport, N and Custom, instantly change the character of the vehicle by adjusting the operating principle of the engine, stability control (ESP), exhaust sound and steering stiffness according to the selected mode. In other words, KONA N moves like a daily SUV in the city in Eco mode, and when switched to N mode, it suddenly starts to offer a racing car feel.
Introduced for the first time in 2013, the N brand transferred the experience gained from rally cars to sports cars suitable for daily use. With these special combinations, Hyundai, which creates an important customer base for itself, will continue its claim with the performance-smelling electric versions it will produce in the future.
