Chinese electric car manufacturer Nio is entering the European market, where a very tough competition prevails. Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio will appear in Germany from 2022 and compete with brands such as Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi. Nio's founder William Li said in an interview with Der Spiegel magazine that he hopes they will begin offering their vehicles and services in Germany from next year. Nio started its sales in Norway this year as the first European country.

According to William Li, up to 85 percent of the demand for Nio-type brands comes from China, the USA and Europe. Shanghai-based Nio's sales figures are behind its competitors for now, but the company plans to deliver only 42 vehicles worldwide in the first half of this year.

Founded in 2014, the automaker has so far only offered SUV and Crossover models among electrically powered vehicles. However, a luxury five-meter limousine will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. The four-door ET7, which was on display earlier this year, will also be equipped with a 150 kilowatt-hour solid material battery, thus gaining autonomy of over a thousand kilometers.

Another feature of the Nio is that the buyer can purchase this e-car without / without battery. Thus, the owner of the car will be able to rent any battery and replace it with another. For this purpose, Nio is continuing to negotiate with automatic changeover stations in China, which in the meantime have exceeded 200. At these stations, a robot can take the empty battery and install a new one in a few minutes. This situation stands out as a relaxing factor, especially on long journeys.
