Detail Parts Production Started in HÜRJET Project

Jet Training and Light Attack Aircraft HÜRJET's Critical Design Review Meetings were completed, and the aircraft designs were frozen. Detail parts and assembly sets of HÜRJET took their place on the benches. The assembly process is planned to start in June 2021.

The first safe flight in the configuration determined within the scope of the project is planned to be executed at the end of 2022, and the certification activities are planned to be completed by the end of 2025. In addition, TAI's goals include launching the jet trainer variant after 2025.

The configurations planned to be worked on; Combat Preparedness Training, Light Attack (Close Air Support), Counter Force Duty in Training, Air Patrol (Armed and Unarmed), Acrobatic Stunt Aircraft, Aircraft Carrier Compatible Aircraft. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to produce one static and one fatigue test aircraft to be used in test activities with two flying prototype aircraft.

Static-1 wind tunnel tests were successfully performed to verify the aerodynamic surface of the aircraft before the Preliminary Design Phase was completed. In this process, first of all, the configuration for the Prototype-1 aircraft was determined and meetings were held with all system suppliers. The system layout works were accelerated and the aircraft structure was started to be created. After the critical design and analysis activities were carried out, the Critical Design Phase was successfully completed at the end of February 2021.

"80 percent of the parts will be produced in the domestic auxiliary industry"

Detailed technical drawing publishing activities, which started in January 2021, were accelerated after the Critical Design Phase was completed. The activities are aimed to be completed in May 2021. Parts, whose technical drawings were published, started to be produced primarily in the auxiliary industry by the TAI R&D and Prototype Deputy General Management. In this context, 80 percent of the parts to be produced are planned to be produced by domestic auxiliary industry companies and 20 percent by TAI.

The completion rate of the team design activities of the project, in which approximately 500 TAI personnel work, reached approximately 66 percent and production started. It was stated that the first assembly tool installation is continuing. Component level assembly is slated to start by August 2021 and be completed by March 2022. Then, Final Assembly Line and Ground / Flight Test activities are planned to be carried out by TAI Aircraft Deputy General Manager.

HÜRJET Jet Training and Light Attack Aircraft

HÜRJET, Mach 1.2zami speed and 45,000 ft azamIt will be designed to operate at altitudes and will include state-of-the-art mission and flight systems. HÜRJET's Light Strike Fighter model, with a 2721 kg payload capacity, will be armed to be used in missions such as light attack, close air support, border security, and counter-terrorism in the armed forces of our country and friendly and allied countries.

The first flight of HÜRJET is planned to take place in 2022, after the completion of the prototype production and ground tests.
