About NF-5 Aircraft
The NF-1987s, which have been used in the Turkish Air Force since 5, were selected as the most suitable aircraft for aerobatic flight thanks to their flight systems and performances during aerobatics. When the world aviation literature is reviewed, it is seen that the design of the F-5 aircraft is defined as the most suitable aircraft design for supersonic jet flight.
Within the scope of the project initiated in August 1 by Eskişehir 1993st Air Supply and Maintenance Central Command, some changes were made to the aircraft. The modifications and changes made to the nine NF-5A and one NF-5B aircraft allocated to the Turkish Stars Aerobatic Team were completed in July 1994 and delivered to the unit. In addition to the renovations made, a three-axis VTR (camera recording system) system was added to the aircraft in 2000 in order to increase the effectiveness of post-flight performance evaluations. Turkish Stars have been performing their shows with NF-2010 5 aircraft, which have been modernized since 2000.
