Production will be suspended at Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş.'s Gölcük plant.
In the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the following information was given: “In addition to the continuation of the global difficulties in semiconductor procurement stated in our special case statement dated March 29, 2021, additional supply problems have emerged in semiconductor materials caused by the earthquake and fire in Japan. Although the effects of this global crisis have been minimized by the measures taken by our main partner Ford Motor Company and the plans made with the suppliers of our company, with the effect of this new development, we do routine maintenance and preparation of our production lines for our new investments in the summer months every year. It was decided to take our stance forward and to suspend production at our Gölcük Plant between 19 April and 13 June. Production will continue in our Yeniköy and Eskişehir factories. It is expected that our total production and sales forecasts for the year 2021 disclosed to the public will remain within the announced limits, as the effect of the loss of production caused by the interruption of production is reduced thanks to the increase in production pace in the following months.
