Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA Successfully Completed the First Firing Test

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national means, successfully completed the first firing test on 22 April 2021. Intelligent ammunition developed nationally by Roketsan, MAM-C, MAM-L and MAM-T used for the first time successfully hit the targets.

Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of the Defense Industry Directorate (SSB), Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national means, successfully completed the first firing test on April 22, 2021.

AIRED WITH INTELLIGENT AMMUNITIONS

Previously many tests successfully completed Turkey's first unmanned attack aircraft, which Bayraktar AKINCI, for the first shooting test under the wings release AnlArIndA developed as a national by Roketsan one MAM-C, Total MAM-L and first used one MAI-T took off with smart ammunition. The first flight of the ammunition flight test campaign was carried out with AKINCI PT-3 on 17 April. While the second test flight with ammunition was made on April 21, the first shots were carried out on April 22, 2021.

HIT IN FULL HIT

During the test conducted by Baykar Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu, all three of the lifeless test munitions without warheads sent from AKINCI TİHA with laser targeting managed to hit the targets with a full hit.

SSB PRESIDENT PROF. DR. DEMIR JOINED

Bayraktar AKINCI SSB President Prof. Dr. In addition to İsmail Demir, Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar also attended. Roketsan Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit and Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci took the lead.

SIGNATURE BEFORE THE SHOOT

Bayraktar AKINCI PT-3 TİHA's MAM-T ammunition, which is under the wing and will be thrown for the first time, was waiting for the shooting test on the apron before taking off. Dr. İsmail Demir, Baykar Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar, Roketsan Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit was signed by Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci, and by the Baykar and Roketsan teams involved in the project.

MAM-T USED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA's first firing test was the first in the field of ammunition developed. MAM-T, the new member of the MAM (Mini Intelligent Ammunition) family, developed nationally by Roketsan, was used for the first time in this test. The MAM-T Block-1 configuration, developed to meet the need for higher warhead efficiency and longer range, has an ammunition and semi-active laser seeker head that provides high sensitivity against moving and stationary targets. Developed to be compatible with different platforms, MAM-T can be used against armored and unarmored vehicles, buildings and surface targets with 30+ km range capability in UAVs.

FIRST FLIGHT HELD ON DECEMBER 6, 2019

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA realized its first flight on December 6, 2019. The test activities carried out at the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu Airport Command are carried out with 3 Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA prototypes.

SERIAL PRODUCTION STARTED

The serial production process of Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA project, in which the first deliveries are planned to be made this year, has also started. Bayraktar AKINCI S-1, which is the first aircraft of the serial production model and whose integration has been completed, has recently arrived in Çorlu to carry out testing activities. Integration studies of mass production models continue at Baykar National S / UAV R&D and Production Center.

BIGGER, STRONGER

The Bayraktar TB2 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which was developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national resources, is actively used by the Turkish Armed Forces, General Directorate of Security, Gendarmerie General Command and National Intelligence Organization, and exported to Ukraine and Qatar, which is longer and wider. Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will perform strategic missions.

ROBOT AIRCRAFT WITH CLOSE TO 100 COMPUTERS

Approximately 100 computer systems work in the robot plane AKINCI, which was developed by Baykar with national and original design, software, avionics and mechanics. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which has a take-off weight of 5.5 tons, stands out with a total payload of 400 kilograms, 950 kilograms internal and 1350 kilograms.

WILL USE NATIONAL AMMUNITIONS

The aircraft platform, which has a 20-meter wingspan with its unique twisted-wing structure, will also provide high flight safety thanks to its fully automatic flight control and 3-redundant autopilot system. Bayraktar AKINCI, who will be able to operate with the national ammunition it will carry thanks to its useful load capacity, will be a great power multiplier with its ability to launch cruise missiles. National ammunition produced by Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, TÜBİTAK / SAGE and Roketsan MAM-T, MAM-L, MAM-C, Javelin, L-UMTAS, Bozok, MK-81, MK-82, MK-83, Wing Guidance Kit (KGK ) -MK-82 will be able to use Gökdoğan, Bozdoğan, NEB, SOM missiles. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which will also perform some of the tasks performed by the F-16s, will have high situational awareness with the nationally produced AESA radar to be located in the nose. It will be able to operate with domestic and national air-air ammunition it will carry under the wing.

ADVANCED ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The aircraft, which will carry critical loads such as EO / IR camera, AESA radar produced nationally by ASELSAN, Beyond Line of Sight (satellite) connection and electronic support systems, will also have advanced artificial intelligence features. In addition, it will be able to collect information by recording the data it receives from sensors and cameras on the aircraft through its artificial intelligence computers. This artificial intelligence system, which will be able to detect the angle of roll, stand up and orientation of the aircraft without the need for any external sensor or Global Positioning System, will provide environmental awareness by using geographic information. The advanced artificial intelligence system will have the ability to make decisions by processing the data it obtains. The artificial intelligence system that can detect land targets that cannot be detected by human eyes will enable Bayraktar AKINCI to be used more effectively.

HIGH SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which can operate with high situational awareness with the nationally developed AESA radar, will be able to transmit images to the user with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) even in bad weather conditions where electro-optic systems have difficulty in taking images. The aircraft platform, which will include the meteorological radar and multi-purpose weather radar, will be the leader in its class with these capabilities.
