Operation Radius of Bayraktar AKINCI UAV is 5000 Km

The operating radius of Bayraktar AKINCI Assault UAV, developed by Baykar Defense both domestically and nationally, is 5000 km.

Journalist İbrahim Haskoloğlu held an interview with Baykar Defense General Manager Haluk Bayraktar on Twitch on February 27, 2021. In the interview, Haluk Bayraktar stated that the Akıncı Assault UAV will enter the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces in 2021. He added that Akıncı could serve in different forces. Akıncı said that the UAV had a 2500 km radius range for attack purposes and a 5000 km operating radius for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR).

He also stated that Akıncı Assault UAV will hide itself thanks to the electronic warfare system and will show itself in a different place on the radar. He said that Akıncı has alternatives for its engines and that his choice is now Black Sea Shield (Baykar-Ivchenko Progress joint venture) AI-450T engines.

AKINCI TİHA Preparing for Shooting Tests

Baykar Defense Technical Manager Selçuk Bayraktar shared a series of visuals with AKINCI TİHA prototypes on his Twitter account. Selçuk Bayraktar said, “3 AKINCI is in 1 place. In our skies, Free and Free… ”. While there were 3 prototypes of AKINCI TİHA in the shared images, the weapon stations under the wings of the AKINCI TİHA PT-2 attracted attention. Again, in the lower left corner of the shared images, there were ammunition to be used in AKINCI TİHA.

In the shared image (below), the CİRİT 2.75″ Laser Guided Missile and Winged Guidance Kit (KGK) to be loaded on the weapon stations are seen in the lower left part. a close zamIt is planned to start the firing tests of Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA in the moment. With the firing tests, the qualifications will be completed in 2021 and the delivery process to the forces will begin.
