ROKETSAN and Meteksan Savunma Sanayii A.Ş. Agreement on the Integration and Supply of Radar Altimeter and Antenna to SOM Ammunition within the scope of the Precision Guided Stand-Off Ammunition (SOM) Procurement Project was signed on February 16, 2021.
The Radar Altimeter developed by Meteksan Savunma Sanayii A.Ş., which is successfully used in various platforms, will contribute to the SOM missile's high-precision navigation and targeting with its more advanced features.
Radar altimeters designed, developed and produced by Meteksan Defense with national facilities completely in accordance with military standards; It performs precise altitude measurements of aircraft such as aircraft, helicopters, UAVs and guided missiles even under low altitude, high speed and maneuvering. Radar altimeters, which have low probability of detection with low output power, operation in a wide frequency band and power control mechanism that automatically adjusts according to the altitude, have successfully passed environmental conditions and flight tests, and are volume, weight, power and cost-effective (SWaP- C) provides superiority to its opponents with its structure
