Kioko said the Kenyan Army has made a critical assessment and that the current battlefield poses major threats to armored personnel carriers with complex ambushes such as IEDs and mines.
The Star stated that the cost of procurement of 118 armored vehicles was approximately 7,7 billion Kenyan shillings (518 million lira).
