TAI to Make Its First Export in Space to Argentina

Founded by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and INVAP SE (Argentina), GSATCOM Space Technologies AŞ, in the second year of its establishment, sold "High Output HTS Satellite" for ARSAT SA, the national telecommunication company of the Republic of Argentina. TAI General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said the following about the international success: “Turkey will achieve much greater success with the steps it has taken in the field of space. We, too, are proud of the fact that GSATCOM, which we established 2 years ago in order to provide our country with an advantage in the field of space, will make its first export. As our President has said, we are right in space studies as a country. zamWe demonstrate our determination by understanding and taking the right steps. Good luck to our country."

In 2019, TAI's subsidiary GSATCOM launched the new generation communication satellite development program that will provide significant advantages in the international market. The production of ARSAT-SG1 Satellite, which is planned to be designed in two years by TAI, GSATCOM and INVAP SE engineers, will be completed in 2024. ARSAT-SG1 Satellite, which will serve in Ground Synchronous Orbit, will have strategic advantages that incorporate many technological innovations.

The new generation ARSAT-SG1 Satellite, which will be used for civilian data transfer and has a fully electric propulsion system, is expected to be in an important technological position among its peers in the world with its output capacity exceeding 50 Gbps in Ka-band.

TA has announced that in the export of space technologies, in addition to the sale of ARSAT-SG1 Satellite, it continues to work on projects that are aimed to be completed in the short term.
