Saying that “all the countries of the world, especially the European Union countries, are becoming more conscious about 'Food Safety' with each passing day”, President Uçak continued his words as follows; “This project is about the analysis of pesticides for 'seedless table grapes, cherries, pomegranates, peaches, tangerines, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and vine leaves' products, where the export volume is high. These products will be analyzed in accredited laboratories by collecting a certain number of samples from the regions where the production is intensive. In the results obtained after the analysis, we will see how much of which pesticides are used in which product. According to these results, we will be able to learn to what extent we have achieved the desired MRL (Maximum Residue Limit) values ​​for the health of our 83 million citizens with our largest market, the European Union and Russia, whether the banned pesticides are used or not, and necessary information will be provided to both our producers and exporters. "

Underlining that 'We Know the Pesticides We Use' project will be implemented for the first time, Hayrettin Uçak, President of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, concluded his words by saying, "In the next period, we will have data on pesticides in the negotiations we will hold on various platforms."
